REACH Regulation
The European Chemicals Regulation (1907/2006/CE) entered into force on 1st of June 2007 and defines the obligations for the importers, manufacturers, sellers, and users of chemicals in the EU. Anord Mardix manufactures and sells electrical and electronic equipment and is consequently within the scope of REACH regulation. This certificate confirms that Anord Mardix fulfils its obligations under the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) regulation.
Within its manufacturing activities of articles, Anord Mardix uses preparations and articles provided by suppliers. According to the REACH regulation, Anord Mardix is identified as a downstream user and has the obligation to be informed of the presence of SVHC’s in a concentration above 0.1% w/w.
To the best of our knowledge, based on the declarations obtained from our suppliers at the publication date of this document, the substances included in the candidate list to authorization (SVHC) are not present in the products we provide you to a concentration above 0,1% w/w.
The statement given above may be amended in the particular case our suppliers provide us with new information about their compliance. In case any new SVHC is identified in the products we provide you above the threshold of 0,1% by weight, we will take all necessary actions to inform you.
Conflict Mineral Compliance
The provisions of the Section 1502 of the 2010 Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act requires that certain companies are to disclose the use of “conflict minerals” in their products (i.e. certain minerals, including tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold), that may have originated in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) or adjoining countries. We provide this statement to our customers who request our assistance in assessing their “conflict minerals” status.
Anord Mardix is committed to be a responsible corporate citizen and is opposed to human rights abuses. As part of that commitment, Anord Mardix seeks to source products, components and materials from companies that share our values around human rights, ethics and environmental responsibility.
Suppliers to Anord Mardix are expected to establish their own conflict minerals policies, due diligence frameworks and management systems that are designed to prevent conflict minerals originating from the DRC or an adjoining country, to the extent that they benefit groups committing human rights violations, from being included in the products sold to Anord Mardix. In the event Anord Mardix determines that a supplier has failed to develop and implement reasonable steps to comply with this Policy, Anord Mardix reserves the right to take appropriate actions, which may include discontinuing the business relationship with the supplier.

California Proposition 65
The State of California’s Proposition 65, the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act, became law in November 1986. Effective August 2018, Proposition 65 has updated labelling requirements for businesses to notify consumers with “clear and reasonable” warnings of potentially hazardous chemicals present in products. Warning labels are required on all products that contain chemicals found on the state’s list of over 900 compounds and must specify that the product contains chemicals “known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.”
Anord Mardix (USA) Incorporated’s suppliers are required to ensure that the purchase of raw materials will meet Proposition 65 standards. Suppliers are also required to continually review the list of chemicals and update both literature and product packaging to comply with current regulations. In the event Anord Mardix (USA) Inc. determines that a supplier has failed to develop and implement reasonable steps to comply with this policy, Anord Mardix (USA) Inc. reserves the right to take appropriate actions. These actions may include dissolving the business relationship with the non-compliant supplier.
Warning labels will be placed on Anord Mardix’s products in instances where suppliers’ chemicals are applied such as paint, and a label will be applied to Anord Mardix’s finished product even when the suppliers’ labels are on their components.
