Apprenticeships
Kendal
We are delighted to be running a 2021 intake for apprenticeships.
There are multiple apprenticeships that you can choose to do with the company, all of which will mean that (upon completion) you will become a fully qualified member of the team at Anord Mardix, in whatever you choose. The key apprenticeships they offer are as follows:
- Electrical Mechanical Engineering Level 2/3 NVQ and BTEC (Job role; Electrical / Mechanical Fitter)
- Level 4 HNC Engineering Manufacturing Technician (Job role; Electrical / Mechanical Fitter)
- Level 2/3 Engineering Design and Draftsperson (Electrical) (Job role; Trainee Electrical Design Engineer)
- Level 2/3 Engineering Design and Draftsperson (Mechanical) (Job role; Trainee Mechanical Design Engineer)
These apprenticeships will involve 1 day per week at Kendal College and the remainder of your time in the workplace and your own time.
We’re looking forward to welcoming a new wave of apprentices into the business this year. Anyone, at any age, is welcome and we will fully support you through the process of achieving your new qualification. You can expect to learn both practical and theoretical knowledge, which will ensure that (when the time comes) you’re ready to begin your new role fully qualified and confident in your abilities.
The Anord Mardix apprenticeship applications open in February each year, with interviews starting in March and successful applicants will start working with Anord Mardix in July (or sooner if possible). In September, the apprentices will then begin their theory work. Usually, most apprenticeships will take around 36 months to complete, although this can vary depending on the course and the individual.
Who can apply?
In short, anyone!
Many of Anord Mardix’s apprentices have gone into various roles within the organization or onto further education (HNC).
We have apprentices that are now Project Managers, Technical Engineers, Systems Development Engineers, Test Engineers, Designers and Deputy team leaders.
There are no restrictions with age, but you must check that you have the necessary qualifications to get onto the course.
We have limited space on all apprenticeships so you will also be required to attend an interview and pass an aptitude test prior to being offered a place on any course.
If you would like more information or to register your interest please speak to Danielle Walker, Head of HR EMEA (danielle.walker@anordmardix.com) or click on ‘apply now’.
The deadline for to register interest for the apprenticeships is Friday 26th February 2021
