What a typical day looks like:

  • Make sure all documentation is filled in properly and signed and dated.
  • Loading/offloading material & finished product, assisting the driver with strapping, placement of the load on the trailers.
  • Operating fork truck
  • Delivery including loading and unloading of the vehicle
  • Conducting visual checks on vehicles prior to use and reporting any concerns to the Logistics Manager
  • Ensuring that vehicles are loaded correctly, and the supporting paperwork is completed
  • Complying with all road traffic regulations
  • Undertaking other duties once sufficiently trained, as and when required
  • Assisting in mechanical fitting as and when required
  • General assembly works.
  • Follow the Company’s Health and Safety Procedures.
  • Any other duties as required and within any associated department.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • 3+ years relevant experience in a similar role
  • Full, clean driving licence
  • Forklift license required
  • Knowledge of any WMS system required
  • FLT and Reach qualification
  • Computer Literate with use of Microsoft Word, Excel and use of MRP or ERP systems would be an advantage
  • Flexible approach to working hours and willingness to work is essential including overtime hours to meet business demands.
  • Experience of working in a Quality / Engineering environment
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines regarding warehousing and material handling
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Strong interpersonal skills, builds effective relationships with employees across the business
