POSITION TITLE: Project Manager

  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Scope out projects from design to handover, identifying key milestones, deliverables, and deadlines.
  • Develop an understanding of tender requests ensuring accurate understanding of key requirements deadlines and tender specifications as soon as possible after they are allocated.
  • Interface with customers at all stages of the project, managing the communication process of all key milestones, gaining approval, tracking change requests and negotiating changes to delivery dates and pricing, ensuring minimum disruption to the project delivery and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Manage any problems or difficulties, making timely interventions to ensure smooth delivery and project completion and communicating with internal and external partners to ensure clarity.
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients, listening to and addressing their needs and/or escalating their needs through our organization for resolution.
  • Communicate in a timely fashion with the design teams any variations to proposals and clearly and accurately identifying pricing changes or specification and delivery changes
  • Documenting any changes and ensuring signatures and approvals are in place
  • Liaising with manufacturing keeping close track of completion schedules ensuring deadlines are achieved and delivery targets are achieved.
  • Prepare and track budgets for each project, flagging issues in a timely fashion and managing the budget.
  • Work with sales, engineering, logistics, and production teams to resolve problems concerning design, adherence to specifications and/or required standards, material procurement, production schedules, and related issues.
  • Coordinate onsite delivery of products, overseeing reassembly, testing, and hand over on the client site.
  • Coordinating between factory and field resources, to ensure customer satisfaction, and act as liaison between customer, sales representative, electrical contractor, general contractor and Anord.
  • Coordinate service of products, liaising between the client and Anord Mardix teams, overseeing service scheduling, ordering parts, coordinating any additional assets or needs, and following up to ensure job completion and customer satisfaction.
  • Work with sales team to meet with customers or prospective customers to assist in forming relationships, provide technical information, or to assist in other ways.
  • Track projects using Microsoft project and other related Microsoft Office products
  • Proactively works to eliminate waste and adds value to all processes.
  • Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations and perform work practices that are safe and in a clean work environment.
  • Adhere to company policies and rules.
  • Additional duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, or related field. 5+ years demonstrated project management experience in power distribution, construction, or related field is required. Data center or equivalent mission critical system experience required.
  • Knowledge and understanding of safety & electrical codes, such as NGPA 70E, NEC Code, UL, IEC, and related standards.
  • Knowledge and understanding of 3‐Phase Power, Electrical Power Generation and AC/DC power distribution.
  • Strong technical understanding of set up and maintenance of manufacturing processes, experience in validation, and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Proven ability to work on own initiative, problem solve and present potential solutions.
  • A clear focus, understanding and desire to drive improvement across Safety, Quality and Production.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively overcome objections and communicate with people at all levels.
  • Good computer skills, to include Microsoft Office Suite, etc.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to work on own initiative, problem solve and present potential solutions.
  • Ability to maintain a tactful, orderly working relationship with others.
  • Ability to assist on‐site service as needed.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to be insured by our insurance carrier.
  • Ability to travel 25% to 50% of the time as needed, often with little notice.
  • Ability to work weekends and nights as needed.

They must constantly reach with hands and arms; use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel material. The employee will have frequent repetitive motions and frequently be able to lift or move 25 lbs. The employee has constant requirement of specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to focus.

They must occasionally wear eye protection and other required personal protective equipment (Industry standard safety equipment is provided by the company and specific notice is posted in areas where safety equipment is required).
