We are proud to announce a 2021 partnership with Host in Ireland. This relationship is all about celebrating and increasing awareness of the benefits of hosting digital assets in Ireland, as well as working with Irish companies that are designing, building, and operating data centres globally.
WHO ARE HOST IN IRELAND?
Host in Ireland is an award-winning, strategic global initiative, created to highlight the companies in Ireland that are transforming the global data centre movement. In doing so, they are promoting Ireland’s capacity to be an optimum location and host for digital assets.
Ireland is at the centre of Europe’s largest data centre cluster, which has allowed the industry to grow rapidly in expertise and skills. With Anord Mardix leading globally in critical power solutions, our products contribute to the global data centre industry expansion, not only from sites in the US and the UK, but also from our facility in Dundalk.

Our Irish heritage was a driving factor of why we were keen to partner and help promote Host in Ireland’s initiative. We share the hopes of boosting Ireland’s substantial capabilities for data hosting.

A unique element of Host in Ireland is its ‘co-opetition’; the concept of industry competitors coming together to co-operate in support of the data centre movement in Ireland. There are about 40 partners in all and the industry competitors include, but are not limited to, a wide array of global names, such as: Siemens, Schneider Electric, ABB and Equinix.
There are many benefits to hosting data centres in Ireland – access to affordable power, redundant network and bandwidth capacity, along with a variety of data centre providers that offer an array of services sustained by the “6 Ps”: Policy, People, Pedigree, Pipes, Power, and Proximity.

In joining Host in Ireland through the partnership, Anord Mardix hopes to continue to contribute to the people in the global data centre industry as well as the products, all the while paying homage to its Anord roots in Ireland.
For a company to become a partner of Host in Ireland, the business must have crucial links to Ireland and/ or provide opportunity for an local Irish community.
We have a substantial manufacturing facility in Dundalk that spans over 90,000sq/ft and employing a brilliant team across several fields: HR, Engineering, Project Management and Manufacturing to name a few. From this site, we ship our products into global markets whilst continuing to supply to the local area when projects require it.
As a business, we also give back to the local community in Dundalk. Our 2020 Christmas Charity Drive in the UK supported the Dundalk Simon Community, as well as other foodbank charities in England. Giving back to areas where Anord Mardix employs staff is an important part of our commitment to creating tangible relationships with the local community, beyond our corporate and commercial relationships.

For 2021 and beyond, we are hoping to align our company mission of engineering excellence to work more closely with brands in the industry who share a common goal.
