Roles and Responsibilities

  •  When required to supervise the finishing, packing and shipment of goods
  • Support the Fabrication Coordinator/ Manager in the daily running of the team.
  • Offer support, guidance, instruct, motivate, and organise team members
  • Develop the team to be a cohesive group and work effectively together.
  • Help team members realise their potential.
  • Assist the Fabrication Coordinator/ Manager in the distribution of work among team members.
  • Input into planning, instructing, and negotiating within the team or with management
  • Help to identify training requirements and train existing and new team members.
  • Assess work / instructions received from management.
  • Plan, organise and delegate appropriate work to team members.
  • Monitor progress of work and provide feedback to the team members.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping.
  • Reporting to and assisting the Co-Ordinator/ Manager
  • Actively take part in any Continuous Improvement events.
  • Follow all Quality Control guidelines set by the Company.
  • Follow the Company’s Health and Safety Procedures.

Experience & Skills Required:

  •  Previous experience in a Machine Shop Supervisory position would be advantageous
  • Experience in CNC punch, laser and press brakes
  • AMADA experience would be an advantage
  • Ability to effectively lead and manage a team
  • Able to organise workload
  • Able to read and understand Fabrication drawings.
  • Be able to use Microsoft Office, Excel and Word
  • Experience in 3D modelling package an advantage
  • Able to work in a demanding fluid environment
  • Strong communication and excellent leadership skills
  • Highly motivated, able to work on own initiative
  • Be able to work to deadlines
