Roles and Responsibilities
- Liaise with the various production teams, QC and Test teams on site specific issues to improve Quality
- Liaise with all relevant stakeholders i.e. Project Managers, Electrical design, Production Managers, HR and other teams
- Be responsible for order and administration of parts to various teams to ensure teams have required parts to complete the job working off updated schematics.
- Monitor completion dates for projects to ensure switchgear panels are ready for our Test Team.
- Ensure all stock levels for parts and materials for each project are continually updated.
- Ensure panels and trollies are lined up and work areas are clean and tidy at all times.
- Offer support, guidance, instruct, motivate and organise team members
- Ensure new staff members receive the appropriate training, are assessed appropriately and are approved to continue employment with the business after an initial on-boarding period
- Develop the team to be a cohesive group and work effectively together whilst helping team members realize their potential.
- Monitor and manage team members attendance and performance in conjunction with Production Co-Ordinator and HR.
- Participation in team planning, training, and negotiation with management
- Help to identify training requirements and train existing and new team members with existing and new SOP’s.
- Assess, plan, organize and delegate work / instructions received from management to team
- Monitor progress of work and provide feedback to the team members.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping.
- Actively take part in any Continuous Improvement events.
- Follow all guidelines set by the Company in relation to Quality Control and Health and Safety Procedures.
Experience & Skills Required:
- Ability to organise workload and use initiative
- Previous electrical/manufacturing/switchgear experience
- Experience in the development and delivery of high quality technical / practical training
- Proven ability to coach and effectively lead, manage and develop a team
- Confident under pressure and able to handle multifaceted objectives
- Efficient with thorough methods of working
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of assembly methods
- Excellent time keeping and attendance
- A self-starter, takes initiative in the performance of their duties
