Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Delivery including loading and unloading of the vehicle
- Conducting maintenance checks on vehicles prior to use and reporting any concerns to the Logistics Manager
- Ensuring that vehicles are loaded correctly and the supporting paperwork is carried
- Complying with all road traffic regulations
- Maintain a schedule of product moved.
- Operate truck in a safe and effective manner to minimise risk of injury or property damage
- Adhere to all relevant legislation regarding the operation of a C category vehicle.
- Perform daily checks on vehicle and record same.
- Report any accidents or incidents in accordance with company procedures.
- Undertaking other duties once sufficiently trained as and when require
- At all times and in all respects conform to and comply with the proper and reasonable directions and regulations of the company
- And any other tasks as necessary to ensure that the Company Profits are maximised at all time
Skill Requirements
- Ideally we would like 2 years’ experience on a rigid truck
- A clean C licence is essential as is a good driving record with no incidents or pending issues.
- Rigid/ Forklift licence
- desired qualification SLCS (safe loading and cargo securing) to training
- All CPCs must be up to date and must be updated when due, this will be the responsibility of the successful candidate going forward.
- A pleasant manner along with excellent spoken and written English is a must.
- A flexibly approach and the ability to adapt to fast changing circumstances is essential.
- Ability to organise own workload and use initiative
- Confident under pressure and able to handle multifaceted objectives
