We manufacture and install Busway, Modular solutions, Switchgear, Power Management and offer a maintenance and warranty service.
In the UK we currently have sites in Kendal, Blackburn, Preston, and Hemel Hempstead. We have apprenticeship opportunities available in Kendal and Blackburn this year.
What will you get paid?
At Anord Mardix, we do not pay apprenticeship wages. Our apprentices are paid above the national living wage, regardless of their age, and will also be entitled to any pay increases for performance or company bonuses in line with other shop floor employees.
Where will you go to college?
We usually send our apprentices to Burnley or Kendal Colleges, depending on where they live. We are always looking to expand our partnerships with training providers and are speaking to Lancaster & Morecambe, and Furness Colleges at present.
What course will you do?
For those looking to start their career in engineering, our Level 3 MOET Engineering Fitter apprenticeship would be for you. The duration of this apprenticeship is typically 42 months.
If you are looking to further develop your engineering career or take the next step in education, then our Level 4 HNC Engineering Manufacturing Technician Apprenticeship is the perfect pathway. This apprenticeship would take around 30 months to complete.
What will happen at the end of your Apprenticeship?
All our apprenticeships are offered with the intention of making a full time, permanent offer on successful completion of the programme.
Once you have completed your apprenticeship you can continue your employment as normal although, some choose to continue their education with a degree apprenticeship!
Other progression opportunities can be found across the whole business. We pride ourselves on internal promotions and promote opportunities for all to progress in their careers while being a part of the Anord Mardix journey.

Although GCSEs are desired, we recognise that not everyone achieves these grades first time. We look for hardworking, reliable, and motivated candidates these are the qualifications we look for the most!

It uses the following tools and should be undertaken in this order;
- Knowledge assessment (20%)
- A final observation (40%)
- A technical interview, based upon an evidence portfolio which will include all evidence of practical observations, progress reviews and work activities (40%)
